About Alternative to Violence (ATV)
ATV works towards increasing safety and security in families. Our treatment is based on the knowledge that violence affects all the members of a family.
Alternative to Violence (ATV) is a treatment and competence centre specialising in violence, with particular focus on domestic/family violence. We offer treatment to the whole family; adults and youth who use violence and adults and children who are subjected to violence, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion and physical ability.
ATV helps people who use violence to stop their violent behaviour and develop their capacity to become safe and caring partners and caregivers. People who have been exposed to domestic violence can get help to live a life without violence and its aftereffects.
International co-operation
The organization contributes to violence prevention policies, conferences, and trainings for professionals, and has longstanding experience with international co-operation.
