Young people and violence
things that mean something to other people? Are you worried you might seriously harm someone and don’t trust your own ability to stop yourself? Have you thought, or been told, that you might ruin your chances at school or work and damage a relationship with someone you care about? Perhaps you’re at risk of losing your freedom because of violence. At ATV you can get help to manage your difficulties, and to improve the relationship with yourself and those around you.
You can contact your local ATV office and ask if they are able to help you. Initially you will be invited to a meeting to find out if ATV is the right place for you. Following this meeting, you might be offered therapy. In therapy you will explore how violence has become a problem for you. Through this process you will get to know yourself better and develop more positive relationships with others. You will also be offered to talk about your life, how you feel and get support to improve your situation. The length of therapy varies, this is something for you and your therapist to find out together.
